Has Hollywood effected the peoples view of true art for the worse?
I honestly dont think I’ve seen much representation of true art in Hollywood. Most of the movies made are not the writer expressing their feelings, most are about what will be most popular and how it could rake in the most amount of money. Same goes for music, fashion, television and books. The whole vampire theme exploded onto the scene with Twilight, now we have vampire t.v. shows and tons of vampire book series.Every now and then we’ll see something come out of Hollywood that is interesting and profound, but for the most part, nada. If its changed people’s opninions about true art in any way, its probably been for the owrse because so much of what comes out these days is superficial and shallow- all about the money. Not to much about expression, not to say that it doesnt happen though.
