How can scientists determine if a young man is best suited to follow Sciences or Humanities?
I have heard that serious Russian scientists can advise a young man whether to follow Sciences or Humanities (i.e.that he is best suited for either), by simply looking and talking to him. How do they do it?
Looking wouldn’t tell them much, but talking with them and asking questions about what they like and don’t like, and what they’re good at can be very revealing. That’s what a guidance counselor does. Then there’s school grades and a myriad of tests. Then there’s working at both and seeing what works best for you.
